The fragrant smell of bread draws you to the Jeezert, which has an exterior reminiscent of a small European bakery. As you open the black door and enter, the sunlight filtering through the dogwood trees fills the interior. The bakers Wallis and Gromit on the wall make you smile, and the freshly baked bread displayed below fills your heart.

At the entrance of the store, you can see at a glance the bread ingredients used in the store. Since the bread is made with organic wheat flour, you feel healthier every time you choose a bread. One of the signature menus of the store, the green onion and pollack roe baguette, is topped with thinly sliced green onions. The addition of chili oil adds a savory flavor.

From soft Tangzhong bread to chewy baguettes, choosing the bread that suits your taste will make you feel at ease as if you were at a bakery right in front of your house.

The exterior of the European cafe in the familiar countryside may seem a little unfamiliar, but soon my heart feels warm, perhaps because of the zelkova tree, the neighborhood’s old-timer. I choose a bread among the puffed-up breads, hoping that today’s happiness will grow.

Carrying the bread I took out, I head to the Dangsan tree, a shelter in Bongsu-gol. The Gwangwoo Shopping Mall, where the Jezert is located, is a place where the shadow of the Dangsan tree lies. As I take a bite of the warm bread, the warmth that fills Bongsu-gol comes rushing in.
